Luxury watchmaker product releases

Luxury watchmakers have introduced several new high-end timepieces featuring complex mechanical complications and artistic designs.

Peacock released the Black Hole III Curved Guilloche Central Tourbillon, a 43.5mm titanium watch with a centrally positioned tourbillon. ArtyA also announced a limited edition of nine pieces from its Genève Complexity Métiers d’Art collection, which utilizes two inclined tourbillons, or ‘cônillons’, housed in a curved sapphire case.

Following these releases, Perrelet collaborated with Dubai-based IFL Watches to launch an exclusive edition of the Weekend GMT Atlas. These 50 limited-edition pieces feature unique, hand-painted dials depicting global landscapes, such as tropical vegetation and the pyramids of Egypt, centered around a hand-painted compass rose. Powered by the in-house P-401 automatic movement, the series is priced at 2,950 euros.

ArtyA has further expanded its offerings with the Complexity Métiers d’Art, a new interpretation of its Complexity timepiece. This model features a dual inclined tourbillon architecture positioned at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions and connected by a differential. Developed in collaboration with Purtec Sàrl, the mechanism utilizes a conical trajectory for the balance wheel axis, a principle referred to as ‘Cônillon’ to compensate for gravitational effects.

The Complexity Métiers d’Art is housed in a transparent, triple-concave case crafted from a solid block of synthetic sapphire. The manufacturing process for this complex geometry required over 120 hours of diamond machining and more than 140 hours of polishing. The timepiece features a sandblasted dial hand-engraved with radiating lines and is powered by the proprietary manual-winding calibre Complexity-01.
