Macaé city event and festival schedule

The city of Macaé has outlined its 2026 event calendar, which includes various cultural, sporting, and gastronomic activities. Initial announcements detailed a schedule ranging from summer events in January to New Year's Eve celebrations.

Specific upcoming activities include the XForce Classic Fight 2026 jiu-jitsu championship at the Ginásio Poliesportivo. Following the broader calendar release, details were provided for the 15th Macaé Culture and Gastronomy Festival, themed ‘Terroir’. Scheduled for September 9 to 13, 2026, at the Orla dos Cavaleiros, the festival will feature culinary demonstrations by over 20 professionals, musical performances, and cultural activities aimed at supporting local tourism.

To accommodate the festival, the local mobility department has announced traffic changes. A section of Avenida Atlântica, located between Rua Lindolfo Collor and Rua Mar Del Plata, will be closed from September 7 to 16 to allow for the assembly and disassembly of event structures. Authorities recommend that visitors utilize taxis, public transportation, or ride-sharing services to navigate the area during this period.
