Macedonian national sports competition participation

Overview

Macedonian national sports teams have participated in various international competitions during September 2026.

The national volleyball team competed in the European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria. After entering a challenging group including Bulgaria, Poland, Israel, Portugal, and Ukraine, the team secured one victory against Israel and four losses. Coach Josko Milenkoski described the performance as an “objective achievement,” noting that the team’s projected 20th-place finish was comparable to results from established volleyball nations.

In other sporting news, the Football Federation of Macedonia organized ticket sales for upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Switzerland and Slovenia. Additionally, 18 Macedonian athletes competed in the WAKO World Junior Kickboxing Championship in Lido di Jesolo, Italy, where several fighters advanced through tournament brackets in disciplines such as Low Kick, Kick Light, and K-1.
