Madhya Pradesh fake passport racket investigation
Overview
The Madhya Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has uncovered an international fraudulent network involved in issuing fake Indian passports. The scheme utilized forged birth certificates, PAN cards, and Aadhaar cards to establish fake residences, allowing individuals to pass police verification processes.
Initial investigations identified approximately 70 fraudulent passports linked to specific addresses in Bhopal and Dabra, including one instance where 40 passports were associated with a Buddhist monastery in Anna Nagar. The network reportedly facilitated travel to several countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, China, Sri Lanka, and Japan.
Law enforcement has arrested suspects, including individuals identified as Riyal Chaudhary, Biplav Adhikari, Priyan Roy, and Joy Chaudhary. Authorities have seized laptops and various documents, and are currently investigating the full extent of the network’s international connections.
