Madrid environmental and heritage promotion

Overview

The Madrid City Council launched ‘La Guía Verde de Madrid’, a bilingual publication highlighting 36 natural and green infrastructure sites. Developed under the Madrid 360 Environmental Sustainability Strategy, the guide focuses on biodiversity and climate resilience, featuring projects such as the Bosque Metropolitano and Madrid Nuevo Norte.

Following this, the Community of Madrid announced a program of over 200 free environmental activities scheduled from October through December. Organized through nine Environmental Education Centers, these initiatives promote local historical and natural landmarks across the Sierra de Madrid region, including sites in Torrelodones, Bustarviejo, and Alameda del Valle.
