Mandya beggar's death and discovery of hidden wealth

The death of Noorunnisa, a woman who had been begging in Mandya, Karnataka, for approximately 40 years, has led to the discovery of significant hidden assets. Following her passing, which was noted after she failed to appear at her usual locations for two days, relatives and authorities entered her rented residence.

Initial reports indicated that Noorunnisa had kept one specific room in her home strictly locked for years, refusing family access. Upon opening the room, residents and family members were reportedly shocked by its contents.

Subsequent inspections of the home revealed more than 30 sacks containing coins and banknotes, with the total amount estimated to be between 30 lakh and 40 lakh rupees. While some community members suggested donating the funds to the mosque where she frequently begged, the mosque committee declined. One of her brothers, described as financially stable, refused the money, while another brother eventually took possession of the cash following discussions with those present.
