Overview

Recent maritime and water-related incidents in Chile, Mexico, and Bolivia have resulted in fatalities and missing persons.

In Chile, search operations were launched in the Magallanes Region for the crew of the motorboat Talymar after debris was discovered in the Bahía Sea. Additionally, authorities in Coquimbo are investigating the death of a crew member found on the fishing vessel ‘Bianca Catalina II’ to determine if third parties were involved.

In Mexico, a search off the coast of Chiapas led to the death of a fisherman named Saraín, while his son, Víctor Andrés, was hospitalized following their disappearance from Bahía de Paredón. In Bolivia, the Naval Force recovered the body of 18-year-old Rodrigo Gareca Basco from the Bermejo River after a three-day search in strong currents.
