Marvel Midnight Universe expansion

Overview

Marvel is expanding its horror-themed content through the launch of the Midnight Universe comic line and the tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The game features a card-based combat system where players lead a customizable protagonist, The Hunter, alongside heroes like Doctor Strange and Blade to fight supernatural forces.

In the comic book medium, the Midnight X-Men series introduces an alternate Earth where a peace compact exists between mortal mutants and mutant vampires known as Empyres. This stability is threatened by the actions of William Stryker. The new narrative draws connections to previous Marvel lore, such as the 1998 Mutant X series where the character Storm appeared as a vampire known as Bloodstorm.
