Matthew and Kelly Stafford personal and family updates

Overview

Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford, have shared various personal and family updates. Earlier reports focused on Kelly Stafford traveling to Denver with their four daughters to support Matthew during a Los Angeles Rams game against the Denver Broncos.

Subsequent accounts detailed the couple’s personal history, including Kelly’s 2019 diagnosis of a benign brain tumor. The surgery to remove the tumor lasted nearly 12 hours, and Matthew reportedly considered leaving his NFL career to prioritize her care during her recovery. The couple also participated in a Los Angeles Rams social media segment titled ‘QB 1 on 1’, where they competed in a fourth-grade level trivia quiz.

More recently, Kelly Stafford used social media to discuss her personal struggle with insomnia. In an Instagram Story posted at 3:04 a.m., she stated, “Insomnia sucks.” However, she accompanied the frustration with a positive sentiment, sharing an old photograph of Matthew holding their youngest daughter, Tyler, and noting, “But what doesn't suck is what you find when you have insomnia.” Kelly has previously noted that while quality sleep benefits her marriage, sleep deprivation has historically led to irritability and arguments.
