Tùng Loan Co. built a full‑value chain for green tiger shrimp, while a Can Tho‑based organic‑rice enterprise sought to market Japanese rice varieties in Vinh Long province to improve drought and salinity resilience.

Following petitions from voters in provinces such as Cà Mau and An Giang, the Ministry of Construction pledged to address transport bottlenecks. Voters highlighted that fragmented road and waterway networks hamper economic growth, with one resident noting that while infrastructure faces great pressure, “investment levels have not kept pace due to objective reasons.” The Ministry committed to resolving land-acquisition and material shortages to support key projects, including the North‑South highways and coastal logistics corridors.

More recently, development strategies have shifted toward regional connectivity and innovation ecosystems. Experts suggest the Mekong Delta must move beyond basic infrastructure to enhance its capacity to absorb capital, technology, and human resources. Can Tho is being positioned as a regional coordination hub to manage the flow of goods, data, and services. This includes creating integrated transport chains to link agricultural products from waterways and roads to international markets via rail. To support this, Can Tho authorities are working to build a green, smart urban environment designed to attract technology companies and scientists, while national leadership emphasizes overcoming administrative boundaries to ensure harmonious regional development.
