Mewgenics console release rollout

Overview

The tactical strategy RPG Mewgenics, developed by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel, is expanding from PC to home consoles. Following its initial appearance on the Xbox digital store, the game’s console launch was officially confirmed during the Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live stream.

Scheduled for release on September 8, 2026, the game will be available as digital downloads for $39.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The console versions will feature hardware-specific support, including the DualSense touchpad on PS5 and Joy-Con 2 controls on Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, the launch will include Steam account cross-linking to allow players to sync cloud save data between PC and consoles.

To support a broader audience, the developers announced official language support for Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. Looking toward future content, the development team has confirmed that work has begun on the first paid DLC, while a small free update featuring new playstyles and unlockable items is also in preparation.
