Mexican regional government funding requests
Overview
In Sinaloa, the Secretariat of Welfare and Sustainable Development (Sebides) has requested an increase in its 2027 budget from 75 million to 95 million pesos. Francisco Javier Barrón Aguayo, head of Sebides, stated the additional 20 million pesos is intended to complete land development projects and expand support for the 3,619 people currently registered as displaced by violence. To improve accuracy, the agency plans to conduct a municipality-by-municipality survey under the direction of Governor Graciela Domínguez Nava.
In Mazatlán, the City Council approved the donation of two land plots to the Secretariat of Public Education and Culture (SEPyC). These plots, totaling approximately 2,229 square meters, are designated for a preschool and an elementary school to provide permanent facilities for children living in the CVIVE residential area, replacing existing mobile classrooms.
