In Guanajuato, legislators are reviewing competing initiatives to harmonize the state constitution with federal standards. One proposal from the MORENA group focuses on providing certainty to the 2028 judicial process, updating authority powers, and regulating vacancies. A second proposal from the PAN and PRD parties aims to strengthen the democratic system and increase citizen trust by encouraging social participation in the election of judges and magistrates.
