A photographic exhibition titled “Está en tus manos” was launched to raise awareness of breast‑cancer risk among women under 40, highlighting the aggressiveness of HER2‑positive and triple‑negative tumors and proposing a national day to focus on triple‑negative breast cancer research and support.

The following day, health authorities announced concrete free‑screening services. In Colima, IMSS‑Bienestar clinics began offering complimentary clinical breast exams for women 25 and older, while encouraging self‑exams from age 20 and mammography from age 40. In Baja California, the IMSS urged women to attend family‑medicine units for cervical‑cancer screening on National Cervical Cancer Day, providing Pap smears, HPV testing, vaccination advice and lifestyle counseling. These steps aim to translate heightened awareness into accessible early‑detection services across the country.
