Mexico Youth Month initiatives

In late July, the Secretariat of Youth of Querétaro announced a statewide agenda for August’s Youth Month, featuring a State Youth Award, a social run, reforestation projects, a youth entrepreneurship bazaar, financial‑education workshops with Santander, and 60,000 AI and cybersecurity scholarships in partnership with the Krach Institute. The program also reinforced the "No te la juegues" prevention effort and introduced a natural‑disaster risk strategy.

A few days later, municipalities in Cancún and Villa de Álvarez detailed their own month‑long schedules. Cancún’s Instituto Municipal de la Juventud organized cultural film sessions, sign‑language workshops, mural projects, a coffee festival, a social run, music events, beach clean‑ups and an awards ceremony on International Youth Day. Villa de Álvarez’s mayor outlined conferences, expos, anime and video‑game tournaments, hip‑hop battles, and an entrepreneurship fair. Both locales emphasized free cultural, sporting, environmental and entrepreneurial activities for local youth, mirroring Querétaro’s broader push and illustrating a coordinated, multi‑regional rollout of Youth Month programs across Mexico.
