Milan prostitution investigations

In early July 2026, Italian authorities opened a probe into alleged connections between Serie A football players and an escort‑service network operating in Milan. The investigation focused on whether athletes were involved in or benefitted from illicit prostitution activities.

By late July, the probe broadened considerably. Police raids in Milan and Como uncovered a sophisticated criminal organization that used fake non‑profit entities and wellness‑centre fronts to recruit foreign women for prostitution. Seven suspects, including alleged ringleaders Lorenzo P. and Boutaina K., were arrested on charges of organized crime, exploitation, facilitation of prostitution and money‑laundering. Authorities seized €350,000 and five properties, and identified online platforms used to attract clients. The developments reveal that the initial inquiry into the football‑player escort scandal was part of a larger, systemic prostitution and human‑trafficking network in northern Italy.
