Millennium bim institutional activities in Mozambique
Overview
Millennium bim has engaged in various institutional initiatives in Mozambique, spanning cultural and economic sectors.
In Maputo, the bank inaugurated the ‘Faces of Modernity: Works from the Millennium bim Collection’ exhibition at the Centro Cultural Franco-Moçambicano. Curated by Jorge Dias, the exhibition features 19 works by Mozambican artists, primarily from the 1990s, to mark the bank’s 31st anniversary and share its artistic heritage with the public.
Simultaneously, the bank is addressing financial inclusion for women entrepreneurs. During the II Women’s Economic Forum, executive board member Liliana Catoja advocated for specialized financing and training. To bridge existing gaps in credit and deposit access, Millennium bim is developing the ‘Linha Mulher Empresária’ credit line and microcredit options, alongside partnerships for financial education and business capacity-building.
