Mini John Cooper Works product updates

Overview

In July 2026, Mini introduced the Oxford Edition limited‑edition model and previewed the next‑generation John Cooper Works (JCW) range, signalling a refresh of its performance line.

In early August, the brand expanded the JCW offering with a portfolio of genuine accessories for the 3-Door hatch, designed to enhance aesthetics through aerodynamic components, carbon‑fibre elements, and interior upgrades. Performance specifications for the model remain unchanged, with the turbocharged engine delivering approximately 227–231 bhp and 380 Nm of torque.

Later in August, Mini expanded the lineup with the John Cooper Works Convertible in ‘Sunny Side Yellow’. As the most powerful variant in the MINI Cabrio lineup, it features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine producing 170 kW (231 hp) and 380 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. According to WLTP cycle data, the vehicle has an average fuel consumption of 7.1 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 162 g/km.

On August 27, Mini launched the ‘John Cooper Works GP Inspired’ in Brazil to celebrate the brand’s 67th anniversary. Debuting at the Festival Interlagos, this limited edition is restricted to 20 units. The model features Legend Grey paint with Chili Red accents on the roof, mirrors, and wheels, alongside Formula 1-inspired decals. Based on the JCW Hatch, it utilizes a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine producing 231 cv and 38.7 kgfm of torque, paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The suggested retail price in Brazil is R$ 389,990.
