Missing persons and fatalities in Grosseto province

Overview

On 3 August, 80-year-old Angelo Corghi went missing in Grosseto after leaving the local INPS office. He was last seen near a shop on via Matteotti. Authorities, including the Carabinieri and local police, intensified search efforts using molecular detection dogs after his mobile phone signal briefly appeared on via Aurelia before disappearing.

On 28 August, a man reported missing from his home was found dead in an artificial lake in the Pomonte area of Scansano, within the province of Grosseto. Divers from the Florence fire brigade were deployed to recover the body.

On 29 August, reports indicated that the deceased in the Scansano artificial lake was a 38-year-old man of Indian origin. Concurrently, authorities in the Grosseto province have launched searches for an 86-year-old woman who went missing in the Roccalbegna area.
