Amidst the controversy, Rincon’s debut was statistically difficult, as he allowed three earned runs in one-third of an inning. Despite the tension, the Cardinals secured a 10-8 victory in a subsequent game at Coors Field, fueled by performances from Iván Herrera and Nolan Gorman.
