Molbio Diagnostics, a point-of-care diagnostics firm, secured approximately Rs 281.5 crore from anchor investors ahead of its initial public offering (IPO). The IPO, which opened for public subscription on August 10 and closed on August 12, consists of a fresh issue of up to Rs 200 crore and an offer-for-sale of up to 91.66 lakh shares. At the upper price band, the post-issue valuation was projected at approximately Rs 9,300 crore. Proceeds are earmarked for a Rs 106 crore R&D centre, the expansion of the Truenat platform, and Rs 72 crore for plant and equipment at manufacturing units in Goa and Visakhapatnam.

Despite a sluggish broader market influenced by geopolitical tensions and foreign institutional investor outflows, Molbio Diagnostics saw a successful listing on the BSE and NSE. The stock listed at Rs 980, significantly higher than its issue price of Rs 807.
