Osmochescu intends to focus on modernizing the agricultural sector, increasing competitiveness, and preparing it for integration into the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy.

These appointments have faced criticism from local officials. Chișinău Mayor Ion Ceban criticized the reliance on foreign officials, suggesting that local specialists should be prioritized. Additionally, former President Igor Dodon characterized the appointment of Năsui as the promotion of a ‘Sorosist’ official.
