Montenegro media literacy educational initiative
Overview
The Agency for Audiovisual Media Services (AMU) in Montenegro has launched an educational coloring book titled ‘Moj svijet medija’ (My Media World) to promote media literacy among children.
Initially introduced as an initiative to help primary school-aged children critically understand media content, distinguish facts from opinions, and recognize manipulative influence, the project is a collaboration between the AMU and Communication Studio Cassiopeia. The book utilizes 16 pages of activities featuring a character named Olovka to teach children aged three to ten about digital concepts, including data privacy, identifying content creators, and distinguishing between the real world and digital representations.
