Mumbai Metro Line-3 certifications and infrastructure status

Overview

The Mumbai Metro Line-3 project has received several professional certifications regarding its management and infrastructure. In August 2026, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) became the first metro organization in India to achieve ISO 55001:2024 certification for its asset management system, specifically covering the 33.5 km corridor connecting Colaba, Bandra, and SEEPZ.

Following this, in September 2026, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) received green building certification plaques from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for five additional stations on Line 3: Jagannath Shankarshet Metro (Mumbai Central), Mahalaxmi Metro, Science Centre, Acharya Atre Chowk, and Worli. These certifications bring the total number of MMRCL stations certified by the IGBC in 2026 to 16.
