Mushroom picking incidents in Poland

Overview

Recent incidents in Poland involving mushroom pickers have required emergency interventions. In the Przywidz municipality, a 66-year-old woman was rescued after becoming trapped waist-deep in a bog. Rescuers used a ladder to extract her from the marshy terrain following an alert from her daughter.

In a separate event in the Chełm municipality, a 77-year-old man was located after losing contact with his wife while foraging. A search operation involving over 200 personnel, including police, firefighters, and Border Guard, utilized drones with thermal imaging and service dogs to find the man in a cornfield near a forest complex.
