Additionally, the DAP Wilayah Persekutuan suggested the party might reconsider its Cabinet role if Najib is released without serving an appropriate sentence.

During the same 63rd meeting in Putrajaya, the King consented to the release of 65 other prisoners. The board decreed that all non-Malaysian inmates released in this group must be deported to their respective countries of origin within six months.
