NASCAR has released its 2027 national series schedules for the Cup, O’Reilly Auto Parts, and Craftsman Truck Series. A central component of the upcoming season is the return of NASCAR San Diego at Naval Base Coronado from July 30 to August 1, 2027.

Following discussions between NASCAR Chief Operating Officer Ben Kennedy and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, the organization has established a multi-year plan to rotate street races at various U.S. military installations. While the 2027 event at Coronado will serve as the championship round of the In-Season Challenge for both the Cup and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, NASCAR is researching additional iconic military sites to expand this presence starting in 2028.

The 2027 Cup Series is scheduled to begin at Daytona International Speedway and conclude at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Additionally, the Craftsman Truck Series will not return to Coronado in 2027, opting instead for a September race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario, Canada.
