National Skills Competition in Incheon

Overview

Incheon is hosting the 61st National Skills Competition across six venues, including Songdo Convensia. The event involves 1,677 participants competing in 51 technical disciplines such as mechanical design, IT, welding, and cooking. The competition acts as a selection process for national representatives for the 2028 WorldSkills Competition in Japan.

During the event, education officials from Incheon and Sejong have visited various sites to support students and monitor safety protocols, particularly regarding emergency management and heatwave responses.

Additionally, Incheon has secured the rights to host the 29th International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) General Meeting and Congress in August 2032 at Songdo Convensia.
