Navarra regional environmental and industrial subsidies
Overview
The government of Navarra has implemented various subsidy programs aimed at sustainability and efficiency. In early October 2026, the region approved more than 222,200 euros to support mountain pastures. This funding targets local entities to promote sustainable management and climate change mitigation through Nature-Based Solutions, covering costs for livestock management facilities and pasture conservation.
Later in October 2026, the Department of Industry, Ecological Transition, and Digital Business announced a larger initiative totaling over 9 million euros. This program provides subsidies to small, medium, and large industrial companies to improve energy efficiency by upgrading equipment, process technologies, and energy management systems.
On October 25, 2026, the Parliament of Navarra prepared to address a legislative project to grant an extraordinary credit of 5.1 million euros to meet various departmental needs. The majority of these funds, approximately 5 million euros, are earmarked for the agricultural sector to mitigate the impact of a prolonged drought occurring between May and September 2026. This aid is intended for owners of sheep, goat, cattle, and equine livestock farms, aiming to support approximately 1,949 holdings with payments ranging from 8 to 50 euros per head of livestock.
Additionally, a credit supplement of 346,333 euros has been designated for the Automotive and Mechatronics R&D Foundation (NAITEC) to sustain its activities amid projected treasury deficits.
