Overview

Netflix has released initial images for ‘Marcha das Onças’, a nature documentary directed by Lawrence Wahba. As the streaming platform’s first nature documentary in Latin America, the film focuses on a lineage of jaguars in Brazil’s Pantanal region, specifically within the Encontro das Águas State Park. The production involved 26 expeditions over five years and features narration by actress Fernanda Torres.

The documentary is scheduled to premiere at the 50th São Paulo International Film Festival on October 16. It has also been selected as a contender for the Wildscreen Panda Awards 2026 in the Scripted Narrative Award category and is in competition for the Golden Panda.
