Nettuno urban regeneration and railway land acquisition

Overview

The municipality of Nettuno has initiated an urban regeneration program for the station area through the acquisition of land from Ferrovie dello Stato (FS). Under an agreement signed by Mayor Nicola Burrini, the municipality will acquire land parcels to facilitate the removal of an unsafe viaduct at via Visca, scheduled for October.

As part of the project, FS will fund the demolition and the construction of an at-grade crossing to connect via Lombardia and via Visca, alongside the addition of approximately 200 parking spaces and a new road. Following the initial acquisition, a second phase of land acquisition is planned once FS completes necessary site cleanup and remediation.
