Nevşehir Gastronomy Festival

Overview

Nevşehir prepared to host the inaugural Nevşehir GastroFest from September 16 to 20 at the Cappa Arena. Organized by the Nevşehir Municipality and the Turkey Gastronomy Federation (TUGAFED), the event was designed to promote the region’s culinary culture through workshops, cooking competitions, and presentations by experts and international chefs.

The festival officially commenced with a parade and opening ceremony attended by local officials, including Mayor Rasim Arı and TÜGAFED President Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Seçim. The opening festivities included a concert by Turkish pop artist Simge Sağın, drawing thousands of attendees to the Cappa Arena Event Area. The program continues to feature food competitions, lectures, and academic meetings to showcase the diverse culinary heritage of the region.
