Overview

William I. McCray, a 26-year-old resident of Monroe Township, New Jersey, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges including child sex abuse, exploitation, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation, which began in October, expanded after a victim came forward, leading authorities to discover additional victims during a search of McCray’s home. Police seized four cell phones and recovered approximately 260 images and 40 video files containing child sexual abuse material, which assisted in identifying further victims.

Under a plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend an 18-year prison sentence during his November sentencing. McCray will also face lifetime parole supervision and be required to register as a sex offender.
