Dr. Gabriel Akerele, President of LASUTH-ARD, noted that despite previous meetings with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, these allowances were missing from August salary payments.

Similarly, in Oyo State, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has urged Governor Seyi Makinde to resolve a crisis at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital. The NMA reported unimplemented agreements concerning 2025 state minimum wage arrears, the 2026 Medical Residency Training Fund, and corrected professional allowance tables. The NMA warned that excessive workloads and poor remuneration threaten patient safety and healthcare outcomes.
