Nintendo aligns movies and games

Miyamoto added that story elements from the Super Mario Galaxy movie also spurred revivals of the Yoshi and Star Fox franchises, and that discussions about film narratives are influencing other titles, including a 3D *Donkey Kong* game and an *Ocarina of Time* remake. The interviews illustrate Nintendo’s transmedia approach, treating its movies as catalysts for first‑party game development across its major IPs.
