North Macedonia agricultural certification reforms

In late July 2026 North Macedonia intensified efforts to modernize its agricultural sector. Director Ivica Angelovski warned of a serious staffing shortfall due to retirements, indicating recruitment will be a priority to sustain inspection capacity.
