Northern Tzoumerka beekeeping training program
Overview
The Municipality of Northern Tzoumerka is launching a subsidized 295-hour professional beekeeping training program designed for 20 unemployed residents aged 18 to 60. Conducted in partnership with the Lifelong Learning Center of the Development Agency of Epirus (DYPA Ioannina), the course combines theoretical and laboratory instruction.
The curriculum covers bee breeding, management, product standardization, packaging, market promotion, and occupational health and safety. It also provides information regarding funding for new business ventures.
Participants who complete the program will receive a professional training certificate, an educational allowance of €5 per hour (totaling €1,475), and full medical and pharmaceutical coverage. Eligible applicants must have completed at least compulsory education and reside in the specified regions. Applications are accepted from August 24 to September 4, 2026, at 15:00, either in person or electronically.
