Shellharbour Mayor Chris Homer has emphasized that “infrastructure and road upgrades must keep pace with this growth.” Consequently, Shellharbour City Council has endorsed a strategic advocacy plan for 2026-28, seeking $20 million for Dunmore Road upgrades and $25 million for the Tripoli Way Extension to the M1 Princes Motorway, noting Dunmore Road is a critical corridor for the new hospital.
