Nuvei acquisition of Payoneer

In mid‑June 2026 the Canadian payments firm Nuvei announced an all‑cash purchase of New York‑based Payoneer for roughly $2.75 billion, offering $7.40 per share – a 44 % premium. Both boards approved the deal, which is slated to close in mid‑2027 pending shareholder and multi‑jurisdiction regulatory sign‑off. The combined entity would serve over 2.4 million customers in more than 190 countries, process over $500 billion in annual payment volume and generate about $3 billion in yearly revenue.
