OGC Nice training center restructuring

Overview

OGC Nice has undergone leadership changes within its training center and recruitment units as part of an internal restructuring of its sports sector.

On September 22, 2026, the club announced that Fabien Caballero, the deputy director of the training center, would depart by mutual agreement. Caballero had previously served as the right-hand man to director Julien Sablé, focusing on academy development and young talent recruitment.

Following this departure, the club appointed Éric Cubilier as the head of youth recruitment on September 25, 2026. Cubilier, who has been with the club’s professional recruitment cell since 2019, will combine his existing duties with this new role to better coordinate the detection of young prospects with the professional scouting department.
