Opel Frontera model expansion and market availability

Overview

Opel has expanded its Frontera SUV lineup by introducing a new 1.2-liter, 100 CV three-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. This engine utilizes a variable geometry turbocharger and Miller cycle combustion to enhance efficiency.

In addition to the new powertrain, the brand debuted the ‘Start’ trim level, an entry-level option focused on value and accessibility. This trim includes essential features such as climate control, rear parking sensors, a lane departure warning system, and a smartphone-based infotainment solution via a dedicated center console station. The ‘Start’ trim also features a 10-inch display and six-way adjustable Intelli-Seat.

The Frontera range now includes this petrol option alongside existing hybrid and fully electric models. The hybrid system offers 110 CV with a dual-clutch transmission, while the electric version features a 44 kWh battery. For utility, the SUV provides 460 liters of cargo space, which expands to approximately 1,600 liters with the 60:40 split rear seats folded.

In the Egyptian market, Mansour Automotive Group is introducing the 2027 Opel Frontera. This model features a 1200 cc turbo engine producing 130 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, priced at approximately 1,190,000 Egyptian pounds and equipped with safety systems including ABS, EBD, and ESP.
