Oradea infectious diseases hospital construction

Overview

Oradea City Hall has announced a new financing contract for the construction of a new Infectious Diseases and Pneumology Hospital. The project, valued at over 734.6 million lei, is being funded through the 2021-2027 Health Program, utilizing 659.024 million lei from European Union funds and 75.593 million lei from the local budget.

This funding follows the project’s removal from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) due to timeline constraints. Construction is currently 52% complete, with the resistance structure finished and work progressing on interior compartmentation, window installation, and electrical, sanitary, and ventilation systems. The 50,000 square meter facility will feature a four-story building with at least 218 beds.
