Organization of Turkic States religious summit in Baku

The 7th Meeting of Muslim Religious Leaders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) convened in Baku, Azerbaijan. Organized by the Caucasus Muslims Office, the summit brought together approximately 200 religious figures from nearly 40 countries and 18 international organizations.

Delegates praised Azerbaijan’s model of multiculturalism and tolerance. During the proceedings, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board, emphasized the brotherhood among OTS member states and noted the support Turkic nations provided during Azerbaijan's reconstruction efforts in Karabakh. The eighth meeting is slated to be held in Türkiye.

Alongside the religious summit, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with United Arab Emirates National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan to strengthen strategic partnerships. This resulted in several agreements, including renewable energy cooperation between Masdar and Azerbaijan Green Energy Company, strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan Investment Holding and L’IMAD Holding Company, and mineral resource exploration agreements between AzerGold and Terra Mining Ltd in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
