Overview
In July and August 2026 Osaka hosted two free‑entry holiday events. The OZU WORLD EXPO at Izumi‑Ōtsu’s Sea Park featured more than 20 international food, craft and cultural booths, stage performances such as yosakoi dance, and a stamp‑rally with prize draws. A month later the Pine Ame Summer Festival at Osaka Castle Park offered comedy acts, sales of Pine‑branded candy and pineapple‑themed activities.
Later, from 2 to 4 October 2026, Osaka’s Expo Commemoration Park in Suita held the SAKANA&JAPAN FESTIVAL, Japan’s largest fish‑gourmet fair, showcasing tuna, salmon, crab, oysters and regional dishes for an estimated 2.95 million visitors. A side program, the Fukushima Festival, highlighted Fukushima‑origin seafood and fruit desserts to support post‑disaster recovery, alongside live music, comedy and family activities.
