Otter Co-op Fuel Good Day fundraiser

Overview

Otter Co-op announced its tenth annual Fuel Good Day fundraiser, scheduled for September 15, 2026. The initiative planned to donate five cents from every litre of fuel sold at 18 gas bars in British Columbia to support Canuck Place Children’s Hospice for pediatric palliative care.

Following the event, reports indicated that various Co-op locations across Western Canada participated in the fundraiser. In the Greater Victoria area, Peninsula Co-op donated five cents per litre of fuel, along with proceeds from propane, car washes, and specific beverage sales, to the Help Fill A Dream Foundation. On Vancouver Island, Mid-Island Co-op donated 10 cents per litre at 17 locations to the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island to support the construction of Jesse’s House in Nanaimo. Since its launch in 2017, the program has generated over $5.6 million for community organizations.
