Our Lady of the Angels feast in Croatia

The Catholic Feast of Our Lady of the Angels was observed across Croatia and in parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 2 August 2026. Initial reports highlighted a series of nationwide celebrations, including a major procession and mass in Imotski attended by the Croatian prime minister and other officials, as well as events in Gradovrh, Čakovec, Osijek, Visovac island and other towns. The festivities featured cultural programmes, concerts, folk performances, and were used by authorities to promote infrastructure projects such as a planned fast road between Zagvozd and Imotski.

Subsequent coverage focused on specific local observances in the parish of St. Vida in Barlovci and at the Basilica of the Miraculous Virgin Mary in Sinj. Around 150 faithful gathered in Barlovci for a mass led by local priests, while about 100 members of a local knightly society attended the eucharistic celebration in Sinj, with the liturgy streamed online.
