Pacific Alliance regional cooperation initiatives

Overview

The Pacific Alliance has initiated several regional cooperation programs aimed at social and cultural development. In August 2026, the organization launched the 11th edition of its Youth Volunteer Program, titled ‘Youth Volunteer Route 2026’. This initiative involves 20 participants from Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru participating in intercultural learning and community engagement projects, including territorial volunteering in several Chilean regions.

Following this, the Pacific Alliance’s Technical Culture Group introduced the ‘Caminos de Saberes’ project. This initiative focuses on enhancing the economic and social autonomy of rural women practicing traditional crafts and ancestral traditions. In late August 2026, a diagnostic phase was conducted in Chile’s Ñuble Region to document local knowledge and needs, which will inform future training programs. These efforts are supported by the Pacific Alliance Cooperation Fund.
