Parque Circuito revitalization in Porto Velho

Overview

The City of Porto Velho, through the Urban Development Company (Emdur), initiated the first stage of the Parque Circuito revitalization project. Prior to its reopening, the park was temporarily closed to allow for structural adjustments and the installation of modern amenities, including new bathrooms, an outdoor gym, a pet space, and Rondônia’s first interactive fountain featuring 47 water jets.

Following the completion of this first phase, which covered over 7,500 square meters, the park reopened with cultural and religious programming. Key additions include hydration stations, improved lighting, and the ‘Espaço Acolher’, a dedicated initiative to support neurodivergent individuals during sensory overload or behavioral crises. Mayor Léo Moraes indicated that a second phase is planned, which will focus on sports infrastructure such as tracks, courts, and fields.
