On a Virgin Australia flight from Melbourne to Doha, two male passengers were restrained mid-flight following a violent altercation. Witnesses reported the men, described as brothers, exhibited agitation from boarding and escalated to physical violence approximately six hours into the journey. The altercation reportedly included threats involving a firearm and physical assaults on cabin crew, such as spitting and headbutting. The individuals were handed over to authorities in Doha upon arrival.

In a separate incident on a Qantas flight from Karratha to Perth, a 41-year-old man was charged after allegedly attempting to open a passenger door while the aircraft was still in flight. The individual also reportedly engaged in verbal abuse and physical disruption of other passengers. Following landing, the man was met by Australian Federal Police and faced multiple charges, including endangering the safety of an aircraft.
