In July 2026, the party initiated a nationwide consolidation agenda by strengthening its structure at the sub-district and village levels, specifically through meetings in Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Officials stated that this restructuring aims to ensure central committee decisions reach grassroots members more efficiently.

By mid-August 2026, party officials addressed the upcoming 2029 General Election and legislative developments. Andreas Hugo Pareira, head of the membership and organization division, noted that the timeline for 2029 is too distant for current strategic formulation. During this period, the party also responded to potential legislative candidates in Central Java, with leader Puan Maharani stating that candidate selection for specific districts is the “right of every political party.” Regarding legislative matters, Utut Adianto, head of the PDI Perjuangan faction, commented on the lack of significant movement on Election Law revisions and emphasized the importance of party sovereignty concerning the parliamentary threshold.

In late August 2026, the party intensified its regional consolidation efforts by issuing decrees (SK) to branch officials to prepare for the 2029 cycle. In South Lampung, officials distributed decrees and uniforms to village-level cadres to improve organizational systems. Simultaneously, in Malang Regency, a large-scale meeting attended by central leadership representatives focused on strengthening ideological work and reinforcing the party’s commitment to the grassroots, describing branch officials as the “spearhead of the party’s struggle.”
